Don't get me wrong. I love this place. I love this kind of place; a local diner serving local home grown food. But sometimes the service is a little slow and the pancakes, while huge, are inconsistent. And I love pancakes when done right. Never had lunch or dinner. Prices are good. A nice place.
The food was good. The waitress was pleasant. The only problem was the temperature inside. I had 2 put my coat back on

We used to go here a lot, but haven't for awhile just because of busy schedules. Although I love how they've majorly improved the style of the interior (painting it white was very simple and a great way to give it an updated look! The green room is a great addition! I also like the black and white menus, mugs and t-shirts). BUT, the food was not good. The skillet with sausage and gravy didn't have good flavor. The sourdough toast was strange tasting, like it was old? Ordered over easy eggs and received over hard. English muffin was not toasted enough and not good flavor. Coffee is different than before but not good (however I like the idea of local). Also, air conditioning was overpowering. Our intentions are always to support small businesses and we will be back. We hope to only give honest feedback to support. We only wish the best with the new ownership!
We hadn't been to the Busy Bee in YEARS, but decided to take our family there on a whim for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I'm glad we did! Our girls, 4 & 8, LOVED it. The specialty pancakes were AMAZING. So big that I couldn't finish them. I love the idea that they are using local products and I thought their coffee was delicious. The service was great as well. We will be back for sure!
