There's something of interest to satisfy any age group when visiting this beautiful Eastlake/Queen Anne style building housing the Toy and Doll Museum. It is a must see to appreciate all the museum has to offer. A hidden treasure displaying toys and collections of days gone by. You'll find historical replicas of several local Marietta businesses, miniature doll houses even including a talking dollhouse. The museum has an international doll collection, a circus room filled with circus cars and memorabilia. Just for this year, and on loan to the museum, is a collection of tin tea sets manufactured by the Ohio Art Co. a display featuring vintage firetrucks, ladder trucks,ambulances, and a large display of Native American Doll collection. If you're in need of information, the museum has a library available for guests to browse through books and magazines to help you do research.Just so you know, I found myself returning to the museum as a guest and at times with family members in tow. Now, I have become more invested in the museum by becoming a volunteer.
