After a great deal of research I decided to purchase my first kayak. The employees at the shop were very helpful and let me ask all the questions I wanted. Big box store kayaks might be less expensive but you won't find the level of service you will here not to mention the quality of the merchandise is nowhere near what Marietta Adventure Company sells. Lastly, supporting a local business is always a plus.

Not thrilled with the service we have received there. My husband has been there several times. Went in last week for a broken spoke repair that should have been a 30 minute fix and they still have his wheel six days later.
Riding across America, my bike needed service but I was stuck in my motel room (thunder storms) 15 miles from the bike shop. Called the bike shop, Ryan arranged for a ride to the bike shop and back again. Evan ( excellent mechanic) serviced my bike.
I left the bike shop confident to finish the remaining 600 miles to Washington DC and grateful for their generousity.
Nice people to your face but very unprofessional. When I called about my bike, they said they would call me back. Then I never would get a call. They had my bike for over a week for a tune up. So that stupid.
It's great to have such a nice store downtown. Staff has always been friendly and helpful when I have stopped in. Even when I am trying to find oddball parts for a vintage bike, they have gone out of their way to try to help me out.
